The development of data processing technology relies heavily on integrated circuits (ICs), which are electronic components that perform various tasks, including complex computations. Designing and manufacturing these ICs is a challenging and expensive process, as the pursuit of higher performance, miniaturization, and energy efficiency drives the industry forward. While artificial intelligence (AI) is expected to handle the task, technological limitations persist. This qualitative research purpose is to investigate the gap between AI applications and IC design by exploring available options.
